Am I the only one (Canadian) that's bothered by the occasional vast difference in price between Newegg.com and Newegg.ca?
Case in point. I was toying with the notion of putting together a Sandy Bridge-E build. As many know the requisite X79 motherboards are kind of costly. Enter AsRock, a "value" line of Asus. Their X79 Extreme7 board on the Newegg.com site seams a relative bargain given the components and features offered.
Regular price at Newegg.com
Regular price at Newegg.ca
= $389. Yes that's right. $389. The same board on Newegg.ca is 50% more expensive! Not so much of a bargain for us poor Canucks is it?
Maybe this gross discrepancy is borne out of negligence. Maybe. But it strikes me as a bit of a coincidence that Newegg is just about the only Canadian retailer I can find that sells Asrock X79 boards...Edit:
OK, so this really isn't a hot deal - unless of course your talking in relative terms, in which case Americans are winning here.
