Steam Halloween sale

Wed Oct 30, 2013 9:51 pm

Steam has their Halloween sale going on until 11-1. They have a huge selection of games, I counted 156 and a lot of those are multiple game offerings. Like Bioshock 1 and 2 for $10. Most of the games have the horror theme but a few are really reaching to stay in the theme of the sale.

Some of the more well known titles in the sale are:

Resident Evil 5, 6, and Revelations
Fallout New Vegas Ultimate edition
The FEAR collection
Dead Space 1 and 2
and a whole lot more.

I noticed a few added some skins into the pack to add halloween theme.
But as OP says... some are really stretching it.

Good deals, just nothing I am shopping for at the moment.

So, Killing Floor is on sale too. Really fun multiplayer zombie shoot 'em up. I play with friends pretty often. Go get it.

I'm not a big spender on games any more. Its rare that I will pay full release price for anything. I have learned to wait a year or two for the prices to drop. So this was my chance to pick up a few games I have been eying and waiting for them to hit my price range. Some of these I had played before via borrowing from friends and family and some I have not played at all. Any way I picked up the following titles for less than $40.

Vampires:The Masquerade - Bloodlines
FEAR
FEAR 2: Project Origin
FEAR 2: Reborn(DLC)
FEAR 3
FEAR: Extraction Point
FEAR: Perseus Mantle
Bioshock 1
Bioshock 2
Dead Space
Dead Space 2

Perseus Mandate?

skip that one, the rest are good.

At least I think Extraction Point was decent, been a while.
Fedex...for when you really need something to show up as slowly as possible.

The Fear, Bioshock, and Dead Space titles were all package deals. Both Perseus Mandate and Extraction Point were free. So, I couldn't really avoid them since they were part of the package. But, since they were tossed in for free I won't be losing anything if they suck and end up in the deleted games category on my games list.

Extraction Point's OK until it goes off the rails and kills a major character in a way that's so horrible and prolonged that it finally becomes hysterically funny. It's not "canon," for whatever that's worth, but it's more FEAR and that's all right.

Perseus Mandate looks and feels like a middling amateur Quake 1 total conversion, given a coat of fresh paint and crudely mushed into the LithTech engine. There is a small handful of fun moments, but the rest is like Plan 9 From Spooky Space.

I'd tell about the others, but just have fun! And make sure to look up community patches for Bloodlines, they make the game fantastic.
