MB upgrade - no boot drive visible

Mon Dec 03, 2018 11:44 am

Hi Guys
Pretty sure this is a newbie question - but here goes. Just upgraded my Intel i5 2500K home build - running the latest version of Windows 10, with an Intel i5 9600K, 16GB DDR4 and ASUS Prime Z390M-Plus motherboard. The upgraded machine now won't boot. The BIOS sees the SSD, HDD and DVD drives, but under boot options, no bootable drives appear. Any ideas?

Welcome to TR!
Do you have the drive in AHCI mode? If you are using the same hard drive, you might need to put it in compatibility mode.
