Ever heard of J&W?

I was looking around online when I came across this motherboard brand called J&W. Seems to be based in Shenzhen and seems to be around since 1994. It's no small feat to survive that long in the PC tech industry so they must be doing something right (like pricing really low, most of all). I wonder if they're any good.

by just brew it!
Probably a contract manufacturer that mostly produces boards for other vendors/OEMs.

Seeing as the "newest" product on their website is for 3xxx Core chips and the most recent copyright date is 2012, I'd say they're an ex-manufacturer.

I've heard of them; Pentium 4 and Core2 days in the early noughties to about five years ago.

They went bust but I suspect they were making boards for other vendors of the day like Soyo, Chaintech, DFI etc. When those companies shut down, their manufacturers need to either find a new vendor to make boards for, or try and go it alone and that's why Foxconn and J&W probably started selling their own-brand boards around then. Foxconn are doing fine since they now have loads of other vendors to keep their business away from consumer-facing mess. I guess J&W didn't make it.

The first J&W product I actually came across is an AM4 board, being sold locally online.

Yar, they've been around a very, very long time. Never did much with their own brand, let alone anything above the baseline if memory serves. That said we never dealt with them (at least not directly) so I have zero first-hand experience with 'em.
