Wow, you're testing my memory now.

IIRC my Asrock Z68 had super-easy overclocking; 2nd main tab/icon in the BIOS was dedicated to overclocking and all I needed to do was leave everything at defaults but change the all-core CPU ratio to 45 for the 24/7 4.5GHz overclock I ran. That's all you have to do, other than check XMP is enabled, otherwise it'll likely run at 1066MHz

Speedstep and Turbo can be left enabled like this, and at least on my Z68 there was a setting to add voltage offset to turbo and speedstep seperately.
Congratulations, you've noticed that this year's signature is based on outdated internet memes; CLICK HERE NOW to experience this unforgettable phenomenon. This sentence is just filler and as irrelevant as my signature.

For ASRock I recall the options for saving (or loading) config profiles should be in the Exit menu of the BIOS.

if it lost CMOS settings, it could also need the battery replaced, maybe? I mean once you get it figured out.
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.

Given that this issue cropped up after the system had been powered down for a long time, I'd say this is quite likely.
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
