The family member to whom I gave my old Haswell system may have killed the Gryphon Z87 motherboard. Should I spend $113 for a new Q87M-E/CSM or should I use this as an excuse to get a Ryzen 7 2700X CPU, socket-AM4 motherboard and DDR4 memory? The selection of replacement LGA1150 motherboards available today seems rather limited. Is there a better motherboard choice?
