So I have been planning new builds for myself and the home server, and I have everything purchased now except for the Ryzen 3000 CPU[s]. After reading that it basically had the best VRM and seeing the price, I went with an MSI B450i Gaming Plus AC board for both systems -- one is replacing my existing server in a Node 304 case, and another is going in an H200. I have good aftermarket air coolers for both.
My question is -- assuming I don't overclock, will this motherboard's VRM be able to deal with a Ryzen 3900X? The Node 304 has the standard two small intakes and one exhaust and I purchased a Noctua U12A for it. The H200 has a SFF PSU with Noctua fans replacing the stock ones in the stock configuration, and I purchased a Dark Rock Pro 4 for it. I do plan to make full use of the CPUs, whether I have them folding, mining, or encoding videos.
