I single-handedly rewrote Digital Research's entire runtime library for their Pascal compiler when I was still in college. In 8080 assembly language. Original library was mostly written in Pascal; the performance and memory footprint of DR's implementation sucked a**. That was a big problem in those days, given the limitations of the hardware.

The guy who was trying to market it for me tried to sell the rights to DR, but they declined so it was only ever available as a 3rd party add-on. Then Turbo Pascal came out and made DR Pascal irrelevant.

Many of us remember when a 19" CRT was considered fairly luxurious (back when 15" and 17" was the norm).

40+ is still a "nice to have", not a "need".

It's actually kind of humorous at work because we all have these tiny desks (downtown Chicago so square footage is at a premium), with giant monitors that basically take up the entire desk.

For a good IPS one, maybe. Last TN monitor I bought was a 24" 1080p and it was $80 delivered.
