I'm currently using an ASUS 24" 144Hz screen as my main monitor (generally with LightBoost forced on in 2D Windows) for gaming, desktop stuff, and 2D and 3D movies. My secondary is an ancient 5:4 Dell ~15" LCD that has whatever else open (email, FAQs/maps for games, or a TV show/movie if I'm doing something on the main one. I'm looking to get something to swap up those roles a bit and thinking about the 28" PB287Q. I know it's a TN panel, but that's also why I can afford it. I want something with 4K res and 10bit color (for whatever that's really worth).
I've got a Geforce 970, so most stuff's not going to run well in 4K unless it's rather old or I go to SLI. But I was thinking I'd wait until the next Geforce HBM boards come out and just upgrade to a much faster single card.
Sound worth picking one up for what I'm doing? Game on my 24" do desktop/movie watching on the 28" 4K?
