Yet Another 4k TV As A Monitor Thread

So I've been looking at the sales and I'm very tempted to get one of the very cheap 4K 40"+ TVs I'm seeing but I'm aware there are lots of hidden catches which are worrying me.

I mainly want to use it for productivity stuff. Basic web/email/office but also a bit of coding and lots of terminal windows open.
I do a bit of gaming but I have no problem restricting myself to 1080p for that and letting the TV (hopefully) handle resizing/upscaling etc.
Graphics card wise I've got a GTX660 (I have no intention to game at 4K).
OS wise I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 with 375 nvidia drivers.

The problems I'm vaguely aware of are:
Will the HDMI ports on the graphics card actually support 4K 60Hz
Chroma actually supported by the TV
RGB Vs RGBW

Here are some I've been looking at:
http://www.tesco.com/direct/lg-43uh610v-smart-4k-ultra-hd-43-inch-led-tv/369-7253.prd?skuId=369-7253
http://www.tesco.com/direct/hisense-h50m3300-50-inch-4k-uhd-led-smart-tv-black/137-7614.prd?skuId=137-7614
http://www.tesco.com/direct/sharp-49-inch-lc-49cuf8462ks-smart-4k-ultra-hd-led-tv-with-freeview-hd/375-5927.prd?skuId=375-5927

The main problem is that it's very hard to find good reviews of TVs that go into enough detail about them. Of these three there seems to be the most info about the LG at the top.

It is an RGBW panel and I'm wondering if that rules it out since most of what I need it for is dealing with text. This said I'm currently using some very old and cheap to begin with 21" and 20" screens which probably aren't the sharpest screens in the world anyway.

Am I expecting too much at this end of the market?

I'd edit the thread title if I were you. I was about to hit the banhammer without looking at the text :x
