40" 4K Monitor/dispaly/TV

Thu Aug 17, 2017 4:27 pm

So I have a way over priced Dell 30" 2K montior I got for $1,300 right before leaving engineering and design fields behind for sales. I want to bring that monitor to my office and get a new decent looking 4K 40" display, monitor or TV for home computer use. Can you guys make any recommendations for stuff to look for in this area. I know waiting till near black friday will be best for pricing purposes. But do we know model specs and stuff yet or when will be a good time kinda aim at a specific panel. What panel tech should I be looking for?

Dont forget at Black Friday, you'll see ALOT of one off models that are basically Black Friday only SKU's. So it could be few and far between on support and recommended settings on them.

Ok, I see that and raise this question:

Its an IPS panel, 60 hz, not sure where you can look up latency... Else its a good looking screen I've seen them in person.

That is helpful. Cause looking at the metrics they use helps allot.

I know that, part numbers are important shopping electronics for black friday... basically all electronics. Even power drills.
