Thread title should be "Funny monitor inputs labeling labeling"

It actually kinda makes sense for the HDMI and DP ones since the label is higher contrast than the ports themselves, so possibly makes it easier to tell them apart.

I'd just increase the text size.

And fix the DC jack icon to match the hole-plastic alignment.

Yeah. that would've made more sense.

And/or label them with the standard symbols for those ports instead of just a drawing of the port.

Drawings of the ports do make some sense when a cable is already plugged in.

By the way, has anyone noticed that the VGA drawing is mirrored?

Maybe it's supposed to be a picture of the cable you plug into that port?

(But the DP one isn't mirrored...)

i like the attention to details. vga and audio-in have the same colour background as a reminder you need both for picture and sound.

I'm impressed that a monitor with such cheaply-done labeling has that much I/O. Most cheap monitors these days seem to have power, HDMI, VGA, and zilch-else.

Why did you have to point that out? Why would you do that?!

While we're at that:

Does any monitor or TV, at any price range, have the ability to show an on-screen drawing of the ports, matching exactly their actual position and orientation on the back?

I guess you heard it here first.

VGA is mirrored horizontally, DC jack is mirrored vertically....

Who would've thought a pic of the ports on a monitor could spark so much discussion?
