For someone who lives just a little over 30 degrees north of the equator, it was remarkable how long it takes for the sunset to completely fade away at 48 degrees lattitude. That second shot was almost an hour after official sunset.

Since we're on the topic of sunsets. This is one of my favorites. Untouched, straight from my phone.

And another. Pretty ominous.

Here’s a link to my shot from last night. Heavily cropped.

Was out at my parents last weekend and found myself wishing I had taken my DSLR. I wasn't focused the least bit on photography and usually the end of June isn't particularly photogenic. It's been wet this year and more storms rolled through while were there. Everything was lush and green and the light was soft and warm. These are from my cell phone and so aren't of the highest technical quality.

Front the driveway at my parents...

This is from a scenic overlook on the drive home. This one got a bit of an eye roll from my wife since we came around a corner on the road and all of the sudden I pulled over to the side of the road, rolled down the window, and stuck my phone out into the drizzling rain.

This thread needs more rockets.

Note that for some reason 500px's hotlink/embed previews have gotten really bad on quality. Please click for higher quality images.
