I just bought a 24" LCD

Sun Mar 30, 2008 11:23 pm

I just bought a 24" mPVA LCD after owning a 17" TN panel. I have one thing to say:

My God.

Darn cheap Soyo Topaz S 24" for $300 at OfficeMax. Is it the best LCD around? Certainly not. But it rocks my world and seems to be quite a bargain.

I believe I shared those same sentiments as well. I was on work term away from my family home, and at the end of the term, I ordered the Dell 24". It arrived about 2 weeks before I was due back home, so I got my sister to set it up and check for dead pixels and such. But then I hopped on the plane, said good bye to my 21" CRT (gave it to a friend I had out there) and arrived home. There it was, in all it's glory sitting on my computer desk. Yeah, I said "My God". After having used the 21" CRT for a while, I just couldn't believe how thin the thing was compared to how big the screen estate was. And how good looking it was in it's sleek black frame and silver stand. (CRT was typical blah beige).
