Hiding Cables Behing Wall

Wed May 07, 2008 10:49 am

So let’s see if I can describe what I want. My father-in-law has a wall mounted LCD TV with an entertainment system underneath. The mother-in-law is complaining about the mess of cables that trail down from the TV. I was thinking about running the cables behind the wall and hiding them that way. I would like to get a couple video pass through boxes so that the I put the boxes in the wall, connect the cables from video equipment to the box, have cables behind the wall connect to the other box, and then another set of cables from the second box to the tv. I know I have seen boxes like this before, but can’t seem to find them. Any ideas where to look and what they are called? Thanks for any advice.

It would be much simpler to just do something like this:
