Best budget Case, w/o Power Supply, and Where to get it ?

Fri Sep 06, 2002 2:48 pm

:) hey guys

8) My friend is putting his PC together, and is getting all the essential parts, Ga-7vrxp kt333, XP 2000, etc.....and well, he was thinking about using his old baby tower case but I don't think its fan situation or its cooling will be sufficient. Its also kinda ugly (circa 1997)

:P I want to suggest to him getting a nicer case for his new kick ass machine, but he's a broke sod who is being very careful with money

:) he has already bought a nice enermax QUIET power supply. He is a music producer/engineer and needs to have his quiet.

:-? What case should he get, where can we get a nice quiet case w/o a power supply? Anyone have any recs?

thanks

Hmm, interesting case. I like that intake fan above where the CPU would go.

My buddy got one and liked it. But getting the cooler (silver gladiator) on was a tight fit. Real big coolers might not fit.

If he hasn't gotten one yet, there are some pretty cool and affordable cases here:

I've used the evercase from Newegg and it works great. Combine that with a cheap (but not cheaply built) Enhance power supply and your golden

Personally I like this one, the PS isn't bad and I love the fan right over the CPU, my XPs are quite cool in this one.
