Generally, but I have to sync as it changes daily. But anyway it's going to be a pain to replace.

The replacement HDD clicks the same. Manufacture date is less than a month apart, but I think that's enough to rule out a bad batch. It's also from a different geographic market. Commonalities: Same firmware version (AX1P1A), both were shipped rather than picked up in a store.
I don't know if there could be external factors that elicit this clickiness, but color me unhappy.
