Now, let's make the thread a bit more useful. Assuming "capacity" means how large of USB storage (stick, HDD/SSDs), then the answer to that sort of depends on which file system the storage is formatted in? Like FAT16 should in theory allows only 2GB, but will give the best compatibility. FAT32 can do more but beyond 32GB compatibility becomes iffy. exFAT may depend on if you have the driver/kernel mod to mount the file system. NTFS would be even worse. I don't know enough about how Linux file systems like ext3 and ext4 work on Android/Chromebooks so I will let others chime in.
I don't think anything that isn't really ancient defaults to FAT16 any more. My experience with FAT32 on >32GB devices is that as long as you're able to format it correctly it'll be fine (and work pretty much anywhere), but you'll need to use a non-Windows system to do the formatting. exFAT support is improving now that Microsoft has loosened up on the licensing; AFAIK all recent desktop OSes support it, but mobile is still iffy. NTFS works reasonably well in Linux these days, but not on MacOS or mobile. AFAICT ext3/4 is pretty much limited to non-Android (server/desktop and some embedded like RPi) Linux devices.
Yeah, the "filesystem wars" are a mess, but things are better than they were a few years ago.
