This topic query is regarding PCIe SSDs so i post it here at storage forum. If it is the wrong place Mods please help move it. Thanks.
I want to remove a PCIe SSD from an OEM computer (e.g Acer brand) and be able to connect it externally to another OEM computer so that when i use the second OEM computer i can see the removed PCIe SSD appear as another drive at the second computer's 'my computer', just like what we can do now with a SATA drive. I am using Windows 10 or 11.
I want to know if there are any reasonably priced external adapter or mod case for PCIe SSDs that can do this just like for SATA interface?
I briefly googled the internet and know that PCIe SSDs have like 3 types of connector tabs, e.g B, M and B+M.
Are there any more conenctor types besides these 3?
How to tell their differences and if there are adapters and Mod cases where to get one that can accept all three type of connections?
Thanks in advance.
