DVD+R and CD-RW drives with SATA>IDE Adaptors

Has anyone tryed using the SATA>IDE adaptors with optical drives? Does it work okay? I know I'm not going to see any performance improvement, I'm just trying to elimiate all ribbon cable from my case. :)

I haven't tried it, but I can't see a reason why it wouldn't work. Give it a shot and report back on how it went. :wink:
