That is awesome! Just curious, what's the noise like? I would think with those drives sitting on the plastic they've gotta be a little noisy unless they're low speed...

That's what the packing foam underneath the array is for. After all, this entire rig looks to be open-form.

Areca 1130ML 12 Port Sata Raid Controller with 256 Mb Cache, and 2 x 80 GB Fujitsu as system disks and 10 x 2 TB Hitachi as data disks.

You need some of the drive enclosures from these to round out the look.

You can buy individual bricks from the LEGO online shop. I used it before (from the UK).

What I did was:
I created a virtual model first with the software ( http://ldd.lego.com/en-gb/ ), then once I was happy with the result, I ordered the required bricks.
