Are the prices dropping, I hope so.

Stumbled across this today, I was hoping that those new PNY ssd's would lower some of the prices but this still seems odd to see this model at this price point.

Well for one thing, the SSD you linked to is an enterprise drive so yes it is going to have a price premium. That model has higher endurance NAND and onboard capacitors for power-loss protection. Which actually makes it a very nice price...

I think that was his point. It's a premium drive, selling for approximately the same price as normal consumer hardware of similar capacity.
If the world isn't making sense to you, you're either drinking too much or not drinking enough.
