Evening folks. Apparently, I have misplaced lost my Windows 8 Pro media (still have the key), and am left with only 95, 98SE, XP Home, XP Pro, Vista Business, 7 Pro, 8.1, 8.1 Pro, 10 Home and 10 Pro in my personal DML.
The download link I was provided with at the time of purchase for 8 has been killed off by Microsoft, and the ISO builder from microsoft.com does not provide for 8, only 8.1 ... which isn't (IIRC) going to let me do the in-place upgrade I need to do from a 7 install. Worse, it seems they've been thorough about this, and my other (legit!) sources of non-corporate media only have 7, 8.1, or 10 too.
I could possibly source media the old-fashioned way, but given the end-user has a paid-for 8.1 Pro licence key, and I have a spare 8.0 key in case the installer needs it, I was hoping to get away with an in-place upgrade 7-8.0 then update, and so avoid the time-sink of a reinstall of all the software and settings.
So, is there anyone who can be a bit of a hero and suggest a quick/legit/ideally Microsoft-approved way of obtaining a consumer ISO of Windows 8.0 Pro ?
