Script to Automate Speaker/Sampling Settings?

Fri Mar 17, 2017 9:20 pm

Every time I fire up my NUC plugged into my receiver, the playback device (identified as SAMSUNG) Windows 10 defaults to 2-speakers instead of 5 (the one w/ SL/SR), and under properties/advanced, it defaults to sampling rate 16 bit 48KHz instead of the optimal max of 24 bit 192KHz. I have to go into the sound speaker settings EVERY time and manually change these accordingly.

Is there a script or something to that effect (.bat) that when run can automate changing the speaker config and sampling settings to the optimal ones above?

Have you given Audio Switcher a go? I use it to auto-switch between optical and analogue speakers, with a manual key press. It can be automated too based on input jack detection.

It will set sample rates and formats too, if you so wish.
