I know I've streamed shows longer then this before.
I would not take all the firefox updates but you can not turn off the notifications anymore and they beat you to death.
I know I use to be able to go over 2hrs to the full autoplay 3 shows limit.

I don't quite understand what you were saying about updates, as 67.0.4 is the latest version. In any case, my #1 suspect would be a misbehaving browser extension. Try temporarily disabling all of them, and see if your browser continues to crash while playing Netflix. If it doesn't crash, then you can begin the process of elimination with your extensions.

Also, while it doesn't solve the core underlying problem, since you're running W10 you can use the dedicated Netflix app in the Microsoft Store.

First thing I would do is try chrome. Sometimes it's not worth the trouble to deal with a problem the way you want, just take the fastest reasonable solution and get on with your day. The Netflix app is also a reasonable option.

Firefox updates - The only changes between the old "over two hours" play and the now "crash at 1h36ms" have been has been the unwanted updates. It use to be possible to turn off the constant nagging notices. I've turned off the AutoPlay as to not hit the crash point. Don't know if it will crash if a movie goes over the 1hr36m crash point.

Oh, you are so so right! But for some people it can be so so hard to let go and do the sensible thing. Will try.

Maybe there's some sort of power management setting that kicks in at ~90 minutes?
