How to add HDD to Hyper-V guest OS(XP SP3)

I added hdd to W8 Hyper-V guest os(XP SP3), I thought. But is does not show on the Windows Explorer nor the Disk Management. The snap shot of the Settings for the guest OS is as follows. The hdd under the SCSI Controller is the one added.

Have you rebooted and/or re-scanned for disks in disk management?

Yes, I did many times for both.

Looks like you already had a SCSI adapter installed.

Pull the second one you added and re-attach the vhd to the first one.

I did that but still no cure.

I tried adding the hdd to IDE and found it work. I wonder why not to SCSI.

I do not know what the "guest addition" means. So, I must have not done that. Is that what I should do to make SCSI work?
