Sup Gerbils!
So today something peculiar happened today. I dual-boot Linux Mint and Windows 7. Windows 7 is installed and formatted on a 500 GB hard drive. My MBR is installed in the other SSD where I have my Linux installed. Anyways, after the system got back from a sleep state and I tried to check BBC on the web, and it didn't load. Then after a few moments it went to a terminal and showed some errors that I didn't understand.
Restarted but now it just boots directly to the chainloader for the Windows partition. So, the SSD didn't fail but I need to know whether I do have a corrupted MBR or what other diagnostic should I run? I haven't notice any data corruption in my hard disk. So, if the MBR is corrupted, what might be the possible causes?
Any helpful resources will greatly appreciated. I am command line literate, but I don't feel confident in doing anything that might make it worse.
