I've done a couple network installs with another guy I work with. pfSense is all he uses. I'll admit that most of the functions it offers are still a bit over my head but it seems to offer a lot of functionality. The SquidGuard content blocker that works with pfSense is pretty nice too. Lets you redirect blocked traffic to any address. Its fun getting support calls asking why users who are trying to do their Christmas shopping at work keep getting redirected back to google.com... lol
I think the vast majority of people who tell you they have a virus actually mean 'I keep my pictures in the system32 folder and occasionally delete things at random'.
