I had the same problem with my CPU slot earlier on.  You probably have it set to -1 (all available cores).  If you have 8 cores (4 with hyperthreading) try changing it to 6.  That worked for me.  It's a known bug

F@H SMP Client has issues dealing with an odd number of CPU cores and starting in "HT cores" in its slot system. It has been a known issue for almost a decade now.

It worked for me as well, I just had to restart the client after changing it to 6 and it started downloading normally again. Thanks!

Anybody else running under Windows 10 and noticed an issue with multi-user machine usage?

My main box sometime stops folding when one of the others in the house logs in, it's annoying because I'm the first to leave and the last to get home and they often log in in the morning after I've left so I lose 11-12 hours of work, and because it's not even consistently stopping the F@H client, just sometimes (50/50?) seems to put the jobs to sleep until I log back in as me...

I had a weird client bug that dropped my PPD down to only ~130k yesterday instead of my normal 600k. It has since been fixed with a F@H reinstall, hopefully that helps!

I had other user issues the last couple of days, and if a few of us have issues won't it be affecting the bonus points?

I've been running again for 12h now and showing 326k/42k PPD estimates atm, so yay.

Frankie just beat last year's points, cross-referencing the tracker's last update an hour ago to the Stanford page we're up to 24,628,490 in less than half the month, versus 24,544,272 for the whole of October 2015 8)

I too went dark for most of Thursday. Same issue as mentioned in my other thread. I had to shut down folding (several times that day) to bring down the heat and noise in the room, and then I forgot to give the word for warp speed at the end of the day.

Been back online most of Friday and as I write this, I know I've contributed at least 230K toward the current 3-hour interval.

It looks like we're fairly settled in at 1.8M points per day, with an occasional day or two above that. Might be mostly due to the mix of WUs Frankie is getting.

We're making more progress this year than in any prior year, so thank you to everybody who's participating!

Something might be off, only 768k points yesterday and pretty sure I should've put in ~300k (both boxes are still running).

The 9 p.m. production was 12 WU's, only 8k points...

Part of it is me, fellas. My box was offline all day yesterday and will be today too. Got some construction going on at home and need to avoid getting dust inside the equipment. Everything is covered and dark for the Baryon sweep.

I'll be back online maybe as early as late afternoon today.

Pretty sure we lost all our big contributors.  I've been putting up 350k PPD of our average 900k PPD the past few days.  Was thinking we could hit 50M earlier in the month.  Now that dream is fading fast.

I was out for most of last week but I'm back online now, contributing about 740k ppd. I'm really starting to wonder if either the extremeoverclocking tracker is delayed or if my points are not going to Frankie. In the last 5 hours I've received credit for 242,039 points, but Frankie has only seen a total of 539,381. Either I've contributed 44% of the total points today (I doubt) or there is something else going on. Any ideas?

Based on PPDs for the last few days and my own PPD listed above, it wouldn't surprise me if you were contributing >50% of the total PPD right now.

Is there a way to view how many separate clients are contributing to a "User" more frequently than past 7 days?

That's the thing that worries me, I only was able to start folding again last night. There should have been ~350k points more so far today than the last few days, assuming everyone else stayed active. However, it doesn't appear that way based on extremeoverclocking's charts. I'll recheck my client at lunch today and verify the ID is accurate.

Alright, I verified the ID information that I was using at noon today and it matched what I was sent by DPete. I just added up all of the final credit log entries for the last 21 hours, for a total contribution of 643198 points. Frankie has seen 1311009 according to extremeoverclocking as of this post, putting my contributions to 49% of the total for the day (that seems crazy to me). Did several other people stop production the last few days?
It would be awesome to get even one more Pascal GPU helping out for a bit :). A single GTX 1080 would be able to produce about the same ppd as Frankie did yesterday...

Thanks for the tip, it seems that Stanford is reporting ~500k more than extremeoverclocking (total points sit at 135,084,557 for Stanford, 134,592,638 for extremeoverclocking).

Stanford's page only reports TOTAL points though, and that total is since 2004.  Not on a daily or monthly basis.

Is Stanford's F@H still the creme-de-la-creme for folding?  Are there other more productive folding outlets these days?

It has not been for a long time, the length of which depends on what you think about Pande and his group's reactions to feedbacks and the changes in the points system over the years.

There are a lot more worthwhile research projects now, running on various platforms/apps. They all compete for people's computing cycles. That is why F@H has seen a decline, even in the largest forums. With GPU getting way more points than CPUs in F@H, a lot of CPU folders have moved on to other projects.

Frankie is a tradition, and seems to be the only thing left that can rally people around (UGN pretty much has faded).

It looks like we may have gained back a couple more big contributors now, with >2.3M points in the last 24 hours. It sure would be nice to break 3M ppd like we almost did on the 11th.
