@matts - here is a link to the Stanford server status page. Status

My initial thought - it is the weekend, possible server maintenance. However, the two you mention aren't listed.

I thought that too, but no one else was reporting it, and it was happening for 24 hours.  I finally found a post that mentioned changing the CPU core count from -1 to 6.  That worked, immediately picked up a WU and am crunching it now.

Would seem unusual for it to just stop like that, but what's your number of CPUs set to and how many threads does your CPU have?

Edited: Doh, say you answered that on page 2 already, it's a GROMACS issue that I'd forgotten about when I fired up F@H for this year's Frankenbot. You get this kind of error with the default of -1 on 8T machines, GROMACS doesn't play 7-way.

I have tried restarting, and removed and readded the CPU slot.  Still same error.  My GPU slot is folding fine.

Anyone know how to fix this error?  Windows 10, 7.4.4 client.

I think this type of error appears when the server(s) have no more WUs to hand out. I say let it ride for a day; I'll be you'll see it pick one up sometime on Monday. Your GPU slots are going to be the workhorses anyway.

Looks like we're only averaging about 1M PPD.  C'mon BIF, we need ya!!

Also fuzzhead, make sure you've got the right team name, team #, and passkey on your client.  Your GTX1080 should be cranking out around 750k PPD.  Either your WUs aren't going to the right place, or I'm grossly overestimating how many others are contributing so far.

It looks like the 1080 is contributing since there is a massive bump on 10/02/2016. It looks like Frankenbot is getting close to 1.6M PPD and still growing. There are 18 "workers" ATM.

Looking back, it seems anything over 30M would be a new record for Frankie?  We should have no problem hitting that mark if everyone stays active.

So what is our goal for the month? Looks like we could break 40M by the end of October if production continues like the last 24hr.

If the PPD database linked on p.1 is anything to go by, your GTX1070 is putting out about 700k PPD and you didn't put a full day in yesterday.  Add BIF's 700k PPD predicted and we could be up around 3M PPD at some point in the near future!  That would blow our old record of 29.5M from 2014 out of the water.  It's hard to set a goal this early in the month since we're still adding folders and inevitably there will be dropouts.

I probably will be able to average about a half of that 700k per day since I do need to use my computer for other things. I'll keep it folding away though while I am at work.

The 1080 is configured correct. I have done this for many years.
Will add more later. However we do have a hurricane on the way,
and that may effect my folding.

10.2 M for the first 7 days !! Great job !

I did my own point projection for an i3-2100 and an i3-4330. It's like a drop in the bucket.

Frankie is really taking a toll on my system this year.  I've noticed my PSU fan is making a rubbing/grinding noise and there's some other fan inside my case that ticks but I haven't opened up the case to find the culprit yet.  Tried to OC my GPU core clock by a measly 100MHz which only resulted in bad work units, so I had to return to stock.

Don't sacrifice your hardware for Frankie. Be sensible. It's expensive to build a new rig; I know... :-?

Unless you just need an excuse to build a new one. Then go for it! :D
