I had to stop folding yesterday morning but I'll be back online Sunday afternoon.

The tracker must be down today? Zero points since 12am.

I was beginning to wonder if there was an issue with my client. I switched over to my folding account to double check and saw that I was still getting 0 points even though I'm not getting any errors. In a way I'm glad to see that the issue is on the tracking side of things. Hopefully it will be back up soon.

Saturday, Frankie dipped below 2.0M PPD! Tonight the three AM update says, "2.44M PPD."

My GTX 650Ti build is coming along slower than expected. I finally found the iffy? socket 1156 motherboard and i5-750 cpu, and installed the DVD burner (Thanks again lhr). Had to scrape and wire brush cat spray damage from inside the case. That stuff does bad things to paint. After vacuuming inside the case I got carried away with sweeping cat hair dust bunnies and cobwebs from the stairwell. Sat down to eat and watch a little of the OSU at West Lafayette game. I don't usually watch much football, but ended up watching nearly the entire PU upset! Boilers Up! Sunday I watched my noonish TV shows until 1:30 and then got sucked into the Texas F1 racing. Installed the motherboard standoffs with blue Locktite, cleaned the cpu and heatsink, and installed the cpu in the new in the box motherboard. Time out for Sunday night TV shows and food. Next on the list is mining the small mountain of empty cigarette packs under the workbench in my bedroom for the ziplock bag holding my Arctic Silver and tools. I recently excavated four cat food bags full, but I still have some digging to do.

On the upside my little X2 will finish a 700+ PPD work unit early tomorrow morning.

Hmm, Frankenbot is showing 0 points for the last three hourly windows. Is there another stats outage or did we lose everyone?

I'm guessing the tracker broke again, shortly (~25-30 minutes) after the 12am-3am time bracket started. There was a tracker miss on the 3pm slot yesterday also, and that big outage on the 19th and 20th. Keep at it, the points will show up eventually.

Not certain what offended your delicate sensibilities. Please enlighten me so I can elaborate. I'm too old and tired to shotgun it.

In other news - six AM update says, 2.336M PPD

I thought my paraphrase highlighted the main points. At any rate, your description seemed to allude that you understood the "disgusting" nature of the situation at hand and were framing your post to attract sympathetic reactions from others. I don't own a cat, but I'm not sure how one gets cat "spray" (what's that?...nvm, I don't want to know) INSIDE a computer case that you have to wire brush off. Or that you have "a mountain of empty cigarette packs" larger than 4 cat food bags (not garbage bags?) in your bedroom.

It wasn't my intent to pass judgement, I was just agreeing to the sentiment you seemed to be communicating.

Oh drat, I was afraid it was both. I was just stating the facts. OK, here goes -

A neutered tom cat that use to have house privileges finds an empty case in the living room with both side covers removed and decides he must mark his territory with a squirt.

Out here at the hermitage I have no trash collection. I burn what I can, recycle what I can, and haul what's left to the welding shop's dumpster or the landfill. The foil lined paper liner in a cigarette box/pack does not burn well. I use to remove the liners and burn the rest, but that got old in a hurry as they are glued to the inside of the box/pack. With the size of my clowder (cat herd) fourteen pound and up empty bags accumulate quite quickly. I store the duct taped shut bags in the basement/cat kennel with kitty door until I find time to haul a load. I also use the bags as kitchen trash can liners and burnable waste baskets. And yes, the mountain under the workbench is something I've been meaning to find the time to remove, but there always seems to be ten other things that need to be done first.

And yes, my mother quite often told me, "Smoking is a filthy habit." I told my two children, "Don't ever start." and one of them actually listened.

Wow, we're off to the races today so far. Averaging ~475k points per 3 hour slot should put us pretty close to 3.8M points today. Clearly we're not carrying the full list of participants 24/7 who've chimed in with their PPDs, but 3.8M would be a daily high for this month (the 21st and 24th don't count)

Let's finish strong!!

Still participating with a 1060, 960, and part-time 660. I even got curious about an Ivy Bridge Xeon E3-1240v2 in a Supermicro 1U. 69W, 22nm, 3.4/3.8, what the heck. Surprisingly, it was cranking 35,000 PPD on 4 threads and only drawing 40W through the CPU package, staying at all-core 3.6 GHz. Total system draw was only about 70W while folding. The GTX 660 isn't even twice as fast as the Ivy!
Be careful on inserting this (or any G34 chip) into the socket. Once you pull that restraining lever, it is either a good install or a piece of silicon jewelry.

Usually there should be a screen cap of the "M" shape graph after a few days for posterity. ;)

Hello all! Apologies for dropping off the face of the Earth, but I got in a work jam right near the end there and I was fighting almost every other day with crashes on my folding rig. I have to figure out what's wrong and get it fixed, because it's annoying as hell.

Anyhow, it looks like we did well this year. See you next year...maybe by then I'll have my rig running a bit more reliably with a 2080 in there.

I have cropped screen captures of both the graph and numbers blocks. But I'm still looking for a place to host them. Google drive doesn't like my dial-up wanna be internet connection, so I don't even know if they host linked images. I will try it again the next time I borrow my cousin's dsl before I give up and fight with flickr.

Dropbox works just fine. Simply change the end of the link from "dl=0" to "raw=1".
What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

Thanks for the info Ned. I hope to use it when I finish my 64bit Win7 build and install a 64bit browser. Tuesday night I spent three hours reading and refreshing pages on the Dropbox website. I was able to reach the setup account button, but the only thing it did was change color when I clicked it. Even tried with a Google login, but the result was the same. I'm guessing the 64bit internet doesn't like my 32bit OS and browser as I've been unable to transfer funds online at Wells Fargo for the past five or six months and a Newegg login failed to give me any "I am not a robot" info in the box no matter how many times I refreshed the page.
