I wonder if anyone will have a shiny new RTX2xxx in hand to see what ppd they put out.

I suspect that RTX units are going to be gimped at general compute. Nvidia doesn't want to cannibalize their Volta-based SKUs. They should at least be considerably faster at folding than customer-tier Pascal and Vega 10.

My poor RX Vega, better not let it see the RTX cards' performance.

Hmm, though Frankie might just be the motivation I need to deploy the RX 580 to the HTPC...

Oooof, a RX 580 folding 24/7 sounds brutal to your power bill, mate.

I've done it for the whole month on my RX480 twice already. With a proper voltage curve, it doesn't really pull much more juice at stock frequency than a GTX1060.
I've been wanting to try to play around with frequency tuning to see how much ppd you lose per MHz (ie for crypto you can really downclock your GPU with little/no hit on hashrate), but the rewards in F@H seem too inconsistent for anything more granular than ~20% adjustments.
....that and because folding for Frankie takes away the ability to track JUST my stats.

I'll be switching over tonight. Been having problems lately, however...every couple days my machine locks up. Seems to happen only when folding.

Reminder for all:

The proper spelling is

TRFrankenbot

No spaces, no underscores, and first 3 chars capitalized. And the team number is 2630. If you get that wrong, your numbers will end up creating a new entity with whatever spelling you gave it.

And for those that don't know, you should be using the Passkey for Frankie. Ask in the thread and someone can hook you up. Get that QRB!

Well, would someone please PM me the pass key for Frankie? I gotta pull back ahead of @jbi.
Be careful on inserting this (or any G34 chip) into the socket. Once you pull that restraining lever, it is either a good install or a piece of silicon jewelry.

I've got a pair of identical twin RX480s pushing around 650,000 ppd
That puts me at 80-82k points per 3 hour time slot...which is about 40% of today's points....

C'mon! To beat last year's 62.67M points we're going to need MORE FOLDERS!!!!

It always takes us time to ramp up production.

We made 1.3 million points in our first 24 hours of October, which is not too shabby for the first day. But to break 75 Million, we'll need to average 2.5 million each day from here forward. We can probably do it if we have a few folks with multiple GPU cards flinging those work units, and tons of smaller workhorse systems knocking away at it.

I want to know if anybody is using any of the 2080 Nvidia cards, and if so, how many points are you pulling down?

Anyone else getting very low PPD values with a GTX 10 series card with driver version 397.93? I checked my contribution today and noticed I was only around 100k PPD with my 1070 instead of the normal 600k - 700k PPD. I will try updating my driver this evening. What driver version are the rest of you 10 series card owners using?

Something isn't adding up. We've got BIF, Krogoth, general_tux, DancinJack, PhilipMcc, me, and maybe MOSFET and Topinio folding for TRFrankenbot and we're only getting 1.3M PPD?

check your PPD against expected values here

I actually haven't added anything yet. I'm not at home (and my PC is off at home) so I haven't fired anything up yet.

FWIW: 10.02.18 -- 1,424,370 -- 127 :::: It's not that different, but it's still 1.4M.

My RX Vega 64 is pulling in ~600-800K PPD depending on how much spare power there is and what kind of WUs it is churning through

@ Krogoth - Yeah, between your 600k PPD, general_tux's [currently limited] 100k PPD, and my 600k PPD that accounts for 100% of Frankie's PPD.

(I'm always paranoid my PPD aren't counting)

I'm back up to ~700k now. Frankie should see a decent bump in PPD from here on out.

Edit: Dang, WU Failed. Not sure what is going on right now with my GPU/driver. This is the first issue I've had with F@H since last December. Hopefully I can get this sorted tonight.
