jeff, I'm sorry to hear some of your SMP nodes are acting up and I apologize for my delayed posting.

After I passed the 1,000,000 point milestone I switched back to UGN one of my:
Socket A Barton core Sempron 2400s @ 2.0GHz .. good for 100 to 160 or so PPD. 100% folding

And added my recently acquired:
Dual Socket 604 Prestonia (I **** you Not) Xeons @ 2.4GHz on an Intel E7501 chipset .. sounds impressive but they only make about 500 PPD of SMP goodness. 100% folding

Has anyone heard from Hotdog recently? I kinda miss that crazy dude.

edit: To PerfectCr,
Welcome to the collective and Thank You for helping to prevent gerbil cannibalism!

Q6600 running XP added mostly full time with SMP client only. I can't wait for a service-ified, stable client for SMP to come out. Hurry up Stanford!

Well it turns out I configured the client wrong because I had it use the IE settings. I just sent in 2 WUs a minute ago as I have configured it properly finally. Now I am cooking with grease!

I've joined team 2630, but I'm using my own username (Majiir); does that count?

To become a member of the UnitedGerbilNation, you need to change your username to UnitedGerbilNation (just as it is spelled  ).

We welcome you to Team 2630 and will be proud to list you as a member of the UnitedGerbilNation when you have changed your username. :D

Thanks! The Black Edition PC was my old gaming rig. Gave it to the wife, complete with a 590 SLI Nvidia mobo and 7950GX2 videocard. This so she can surf the web.

I am thinking of getting rid of the mobo, CPU, and videocard and using the proceeds to buy her a Q6600 and low end but overclockable Intel mobo... That Abit IP35 Express looks nice. Might even get her a 45NM CPU. As long as it's folding I see it as worth the cost. Plus, I can currently get a Q6600 for 145 US, so it's not like I'd be breaking the bank=)

you have quite the farm yourself. Why do you have so many Q6600s?

Hi David,

I had a farm a few years ago and I had to give it up when I moved to Ohio for my job. When I move to Utah and sold my house in Ohio, I had a few $$ to spend on myself, so I started rebuilding my farm ...................................... with Q6600s! :P Plus I wanted a super-duper PC for me and a Q6600 is pretty super-duper.

Nope they are completely legitimate. I order them right off Intel's internal site. Well my friend does.

Your job sounds cool. Mine is interesting at times but much more mundane. I audit the IT control environment of fortune 500 companies and tell them whether or not they comply with Sarbanes-Oxley. I specialize in SAP. My favorite part of the job is using our proprietary ACE(Automated Controls Evaluator) tool to determine if a company has segregation of duties conflicts.

Prior to this I was in the USAF as a C-130 Navigator. Yup, wore a flightsuit to work every day. Can't beat em for comfort.

I am ex-navy myself. Spent a lot of time on nuclear submarines. :D

Were you a nuke? I had a friend named Red who many years ago (16 or 17) joined the Navy to be a nuke. He quit college to join.
