So is it a better batch or WU's or did some new folders join/ add to their farms?

Sadly, my HD 4870 just died so I'm just going to be stuck with a measly SMP on a 3.5 GHz e8400, now if only I could get the damn thing working.

Yes wise Jedidiah, there are no problems, only opportunities for upgrades .......................... er ........................ solutions.

Kept getting FILE_IO_ERRORs when trying to run the Windows MPICH SMP client. Finally got it working, deleting the WU folder and Queue.dat seemed to do the trick.

Sadly the HD 4870 failure is not a chance for an upgrade don't have the cash right now to buy another high end graphics card, went with a measly HD 4550, GOD it sucks in games.

My 4870 has spoiled me well

As for the Windows SMP client errors, I have a vague memory of one of the descriptions at Stanford saying something about the Deino client that made it seem like it was the better one, though I can't remember what gave me that idea any more.

Yes, the problem is I live in Asia so unless I spend $100 on shipping it will take two weeks to arrive at Power Cooler in California. Then its 3-4 weeks for them to "Guarantee and fix". And they will only ship to a valid USA address so its another 3-4 days to my house in Texas. Then another 2 and a half weeks to get back to Asia. However, the by the time its getting to Texas, around mid May, I'll be moving back to the USA. So, I probably won't even ship it back to Asia.

Anyways, I did not have a back up card and living for 2-3 months with only a 15.4 inch laptop would be horrifying

As for SMP, Deino is 32 bit only and I'm using 64 bit Vista.

As for Windows SMP, I think they're all 32 bit, but I'm forgetful and since I'm not running it, lazy.

Windows SMP is basically 32-bit, but under 64-bit Windows, you can only use the MPICH version instead of either MPICH or DEINO.

I Finally hit 100K yesterday. Took a while for me to get my new comp folding but it's doing pretty well now

You could waste a lot less room by leaving out spaces between lines and consolidating "thru" mentions into a single line. And yes, that would be good.

I think the people who donate their time, equipment, and electricity to the F@H research project deserve extra special recognition.

Now that you have me thinking about it, maybe I should use a larger font and color code it? Perhaps all bold text?

This may be my last time on this chart multiple times per period for a litle bit. I just got laid off yesterday so I may turn back or off the folding clients to save some money.
