Most optimal config

Fri May 23, 2008 10:59 am

I've got two 3850's (512mb) on the way for a crossfire setup. These will be dropped in to my [email protected] ghz rig.

I was wondering, PPD wise, what my most optimal setup would be. 2x VM-SMP boxes, 1x SMP-VM and 2x GPU client, 1 SMP (windows) 1x GPU, and so forth
Hey girl you want a bad boy? I overclock my backup servers.

The most optimal setting is to ensure your username is "UnitedGerbilNation" :D :D :D :D

If you're not folding with your idle computer time you're not part of the solution.

and once you've done that, how about run the SMP client on two cores, the pair the other two cores to the two 3850s running GPU2?

If that is possible, I bet it would rack up some serious points.

its possible. I might even be able to run both GPUs off one core but then my gpu folding would probably become CPU-limited.

How much PPD for GPU2? At 3ghz+, a dual core folding setup should yield ~2000PPD +-200.
