We may be in 9th place, but we have a very high PPD average per person. If you were to rank us based on team size we'd be higher

don't i know it...however i'm still waiting for the GPU client that actually supports my HD4670...i've got errors for no good reason and my SMP which before didn't work is now working tremendously well

oh well...guess the SMP will do for now

NewEgg is still running this sweet deal on an 8800GTS! I bought a few.

everyone on the team should stop folding on their CPUs and just get an nvidia 8 series card or 2.

then we'd be averaging 5000-10000 per team member and be pulling in a kajillion per day.

I honestly feel that Stanford has really messed up the scaling with the points. A single-core Core 2 would be pulling what, about 400PPD? Is the work it's doing worth that much less than what an 8800GT is doing?

Sure the 8800GT is bloody fast doing what it's good at but the value of the single-core client is work that is impossible, literally ZERO PPD, for a GPU client. Yet the GPU client gets such a massive PPD.

Yeah but look at the teraflops of data the GPUs are putting out compared to CPU clients. I don't blame them. I'd weight the points however it took to get me that juicy GPU power working for me

i'm actually averaging pretty good...with about 2000+ points per WU on the SMP and overall ~2000PPD...if only i could get the GPU client to work *hint @ stanford*

That's me but I'm using ATI 4850 card.
The score is much better than CPU client.

Yeah, the Nvidia cards have extremely bloated PPD numbers compared every single out client out there including the SMP and PS3 ones. My 4850 does get average 2900PPD now though.
