Lately I have been finding long 2+ ft long dig/skid marks in my yard and figured one of my Great dane's was kicking up his/her feet after going to the bathroom...I have a pretty big yard.
Well since I am smoking outside more then inside. This morning at 6:45 I watched in disbelief my female great dane tear down the yard faster then I have ever seen her move chasing a full grown rabbit, after more then a few twists and turns....along with skid marks in the yard 30 seconds later She caught the rabbit. She did not kill it just pranced around with it in her mouth and dropped it on command. She did not break its skin but I am pretty positive she gave it internal injuries....since I had no problem grabbing it behind the neck and carrying it down the street and threw it in the woods to possibly recover since rabbits are still full of worms this time of year...at least that was what I was taught.
It looked like a Great white shark chasing a seal on land...truly impressive moves/speed by my dog and the rabbit.
