Creative Labs looks to expand into PDEs
Just as reports are surfacing that NVIDIA may be manufacturing a sound chip, there is news that Creative Labs
is leveraging its sound technology to get into the personal digital entertainment business. According to the article, the impending launch of the Nomad Jukebox, a portable MP3 player, is just the beginning of Creative's development of a whole new audio architecture that would enable voice over IT and voice recognition integrated into these new devices. Apparently, the six-month product development cycle of the consumer graphics card industry is contagious, as Creative is looking to launch something new every six months. Integration seems to be a keyword these days. What do you guys think?
