Wii launch date, pricing finally announced
Nintendo has finally disclosed the release date and launch price
for its upcoming Wii console. The Wii will be introduced on November 19 in the United States with a price tag of $250—two days later and $249-349 below the PlayStation 3, which is coming on November 17 at $499-599. Bundled with the Wii will be the motion-sensing controller with its "nunchuck" attachment along with a Wii Sports game that will include tennis, golf, basketball, and bowling modules. Surprisingly, Nintendo will introduce its new console a couple of weeks later
in Japan than in the U.S., although Japanese customers will pay a slightly lower ¥25,000 ($213.) The PS3, meanwhile, is getting an early launch in Japan on November 11, where it will cost the equivalent of $534-638.
