Asus may be planning to release an 11.6" netbook later this month, but as far as we can tell, Acer has beaten it to the punch. Taiwanese online retailer PChome already carries a listing for an 11.6" Aspire One 751 from the rival PC maker.

This netbook has a sleek, thin enclosure and a chiclet-style keyboard with relatively large keys. According to PChome’s spec sheet, the Aspire One AO751h’s display has a relatively comfy 1366×768 resolution. Acer also includes a 1.33GHz Atom Z520 processor, 1GB of RAM (expandable to 2GB), a 160GB mechanical hard drive, 802.11g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a six-cell battery rated for eight hours of run time, and Windows XP.

Somewhat surprisingly despite the larger display size, the AO751h only weighs 1.23 kg, or 2.7 lbs. PChome also says the machine is exactly one inch thick. That makes the bigger netbook not only thinner, but also lighter than Acer’s own 10.1" Aspire One AOD150.

So, how much will this puppy set you back? If you live in Taiwan, you can order one today for $21,600 TWD—$654.69 in greenbacks. That may sound like a lot, but the Eee PC 1000HE also costs the equivalent of $500 over there, when it’s just $389.99 at Newegg. Assuming a comparable price relationship, the Aspire One 751 might end up priced closer to $510 (or perhaps $499, knowing consumer pricing customs) in the States.
