TR's 7th anniversary giveaway—day four

TR's ranks are filled with knowledgeable, humorous, and otherwise talented contributors, so it's only fitting that we reward one during our seven-day anniversary giveaway. We asked readers to nominate particularly noteworthy posts last week, and after wading through a stack of entries, we've settled on a winner. Severus smugly nominated his own post on the tradeoffs between Kentsfield and 4x4 approaches to quad-core, displaying weighty cojones, but more importantly, a good understanding of the challenges facing each platform. That's the kind of insight we love to see at TR, and it's refreshing to see a forum poster so humble about the content of his posts ;) Severus, please contact us to claim your prize.

Today's winner will receive an Abit IL90-MV motherboard—a unique home theater PC platform that supports mobile Core Duo and Core 2 Duo processors, and has integrated Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1-channel audio, and even an HDMI port capable out outputting at 1080p. We should also note that while Severus is taking home the hardware, we were also impressed with entries from ghb5, Leor, and Darkmage. Choosing a winner wasn't easy.
