Half-Life 2: Episode Two delayed until the fall

In a move reminiscent of the numerous postponements that plagued the original Half-Life 2, Valve and Electronic Arts have announced that the release of Half-Life 2: Episode Two has been pushed back yet again. The expansion was originally scheduled to come out in late 2006, but it was postponed until the summer of 2007 three months ago, and now Valve and Electronic Arts say Half-Life 2: Episode Two won't see the light of day until the fall—almost a year behind schedule.

Half-Life 2: Episode Two will come in two editions: The Black Box and The Orange Box. The Black Box will be for PC users exclusively and will include Episode Two as well as Portal and Team Fortress 2. Meanwhile, The Orange Box will be available for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, and it will include the contents of The Black Box plus the original Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One.
