AMD's Ruby: Whiteout DX10 demo up for download

Speaking of Radeon HD 2000 cards, we've noticed that AMD's Ruby: Whiteout demo for the 2900 XT is now available for download. The demo can be grabbed from this page on AMD's site and weighs in at 270MB. Like the Cascades demo Nvidia released a few weeks ago, Ruby: Whiteout uses DirectX 10 effects and therefore requires Windows Vista to run. AMD also recommends a high-end processor, 1GB of RAM, and obviously a Radeon HD 2900 XT.

Those who don't have the luxury of owning such a system can still take a look at the demo. On the same page, AMD provides links to videos of the demo in both low-resolution streaming and high-definition 720p formats.
