As a guy, my cooking repertoire is limited to a few staples and favorites, many of which I picked up in the brief interlude between college and marriage, when I lived alone. Then again, I'm not sure you can count preparing Hamburger Helper as real cooking. These days, I've learned a few more tricks in the kitchen. I cook myself a hot breakfast nearly every morning, and I enjoy making gourmet pizza-thingies for lunch on a very thin "crust" that's basically a tortilla with a new mission in life. Experimenting with new ingredients on those things is fun, and I seem to have a knack for picking good combinations.
Like I said, though, I'm a guy. My real cooking experience happens in front of a Weber grill. That's where I can prepare any manner of steaks, chops, burgers, sausages, fish, veggies, and the like. The results I get there are usually pretty decent, thanks to quite a bit of trial and error.
What about you? Do you cook, and if so, what are your favorite dishes to prepare? Discuss.
