The busiest season for PC games in years continues with the release of the HellGate: London single-player demo from Flagship Studios and Electronic Arts. The demo is available over at FileShack, and it lets gamers play through part of the full release's first act using the "Blademaster" and "Marksman" classes. Although this is a single-player demo, a good broadband connection seems to be in order, as the download weighs in at a hefty 1.46GB.
For those not familiar with HellGate: London, the upcoming title is a first-person action role-playing game that's the brainchild of Diablo series creators Erich Schaefer and David Brevik. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic version of London, England in the year 2038, when the city is overrun by hordes of demons. It's also among the first titles to take advantage of DirectX 10 graphics capabilities.
The full game went gold yesterday, and it's scheduled to become available on October 31 in North America and November 2 in Europe.
