Rumors have been swirling around about an upcoming GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB graphics card for the past few weeks, but today the card finally appeared on Nvidia's website. The listing's appearance seems to have been a mistake, since it's now disappeared, but the guys at TweakTown were quick enough to grab a screenshot.
According to the chart in the screenshot, the 8800 GTS 512MB will have a 650MHz core clock speed, 1625MHz shader speed, 1000MHz memory speed (2000MHz "effective"), and 256-bit memory bus. Overall, the chart quotes memory bandwidth identical to that of the GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB (64GB/s) and slightly greater texture fill rate than the GeForce 8800 Ultra (41.6 gigatexels/s vs. 39.2 gigatexels/s).
