I remember Everquest. I remember banging my head on my desk over that game so many times. And yet, I kept going back, because it was all we had.

nice one from madshrimps, but even the new boards seem to be lacking in the cleanup of those legacy connectors.

What a great game. That’s all I’d play back in the day. CS and Day of Defeat got dropped by the wayside.

“Caustic Graphics, a San Francisco-based start-up founded by former Apple employee James McCombe, claims that its dedicated ray tracing card will produce photorealistic graphics at a rate 20 times faster than products currently available. And if that weren’t enough, their new CausticRT platform has the potential to perform the operations a whopping 200 times faster — possibly fast enough for a photorealistic gaming platform.”

Its cool to be overly enthusiastic…

There’s a fine line between insanely great and greatly insane.

I guess their just trying to build up publicly and get their name up. When the time comes, they won’t deliver.

These guys burn through venture capital. They need to hype things up so that an offering will bring in another huge pile of cash for them to live on until the next offering.
