Fans of the Call of Duty series got some fresh meat in the form of Call of Duty: World at War last fall, and the title received generally positive reviews. However, it wasn't made by the same studio as the hugely popular Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The folks at Infinity Ward were apparently busy cooking up a sequel outside WW2, and they've now released a teaser trailer to get the hype machine going.
Gametrailers.com hosts the teaser in both standard- and high-definition right here:
This clip is mostly audio, but it sounds like it involves an attack by well-armed Russian- or Eastern European-sounding terrorists in a present-day Japanese airport. That's probably not the most original theme in the world, but Infinity Ward has clearly put the World War 2 setting behind it: the new game is called simply Modern Warfare 2. The teaser says it'll come out on November 10. (Thanks to Shacknews for the heads-up.)
