Duke Nukem Forever may not be due out until May 3, but the promotional engine behind the game is starting to turn over. On Monday, February 7, Gearbox will be hosting a party to show off the game. This press event will be populated largely by industry types. Write a 100-word essay on why you should be invited, and you could win tickets, too.
Budding wordsmiths can enter the contest on this page of Gearbox's website. The entries will be reviewed by one of Duke's "lovely ladies," and winners will be picked based on creativity and their knowledge of the Duke universe. If your entry is chosen, you'll get a couple of VIP tickets to the party.
There are some conditions, of course. The party is going down in Las Vegas, and you'll have to get there on your own. You'll also have to be 21 or older, as the event is being held at what appears to be an, ahem, gentleman's establishment. There's no word on whether the VIP include a stack of $1 bills or entry into the champagne room, however. Thanks to Joystiq for the tip.
