While I wouldn't go so far as those who have called Portal 2 a perfect game, it's certainly the best one I've played in a long while. Most folks seem to agree. Portal 2 has managed a Metacritic score of 95 with an 8.3 user rating, which is very impressive indeed.
Now, not even two weeks after the game's official launch, it's already on sale at Amazon. Portal 2 normally costs $50, but you can pick up the PC version for only $30 right now. As if that weren't enticing enough, Rock, Paper, Shotgun has word that Valve will release new test chambers, challenge modes, and other features in a free DLC package this summer. The developer has made a habit of supporting its Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress, and Counter-Strike franchises with loads of free additional content. Let's hope that tradition continues with Portal 2.
